Selling by auction versus via a broker or to a provider

Until now, generally speaking, when selling a life insurance policy as a life settlement there were two choices, sell using a life settlement broker or direct to a licensed provider.

LifePolicyAuctions.com now provides a third choice by allowing you to place your clients’ policies directly in front of multiple licensed providers across the country who are actively sourcing policies for investors.

You retain full control of your auction - if you like the price offered, you can sell direct to the provider who submitted the best bid.

Life Settlement Brokers: gather all required documentation and shop the policy on your behalf to multiple life settlement providers in order to obtain as many competitive quotes as possible.

The broker earns a commission (which can be up to 30% of the sale value) once the policy is sold.

Life Settlement Providers: Selling direct to a single life settlement provider means there is no broker commission payable.

However, selling this way means that the policy is not seen by other providers, so your client may not receive the most competitive bid.

LifePolicyAuctions: Selling by auction on LifePolicyAuctions.com is similar to selling direct but has the added benefit of your policy being seen by providers across the country representing a wide range of investors throughout the world.

Lite Touch LE Estimation*: An indicative life expectancy estimation report based solely on the insured’s responses to a dedicated medical questionnaire.

Medical Underwriting Report*: A detailed report compiled by qualified medical underwriters based on the insured’s medical records.

Policy Valuation Report: A detailed report compiled by specialist life settlement actuaries taking into account the policy specifics and the insured’s life expectancy.

All reports include a code to enable auto-upload to LPA of the policy.

An LPA account is required in order to list your policies however it is completely free to use - there are no charges for listing your policies whether or not they sell.
